About Me

Hi, I am April Alisa Marquette, the author of captivating 

adult fiction. 

I write spicy life stories. 

A man once asked, “Don’t you mean love stories?” 

I’ll tell you what I told him. 

Just because I’m a woman, does not mean I’m a hopeless romantic. I – and my novels – are so much more.   

I’ve written a heap of good books—about life and all the spicy stuff that happens in it. Got others just awaiting publication, too. I Initially started writing for women, but along the way, men started to like me, too. Go figure. Perhaps that’s because if it happens in real life, it happens in my inclusive books. In life, there is birth, death, and drama. There may or may not be love ~hetero, queer, and otherwise. Haters show up. You get a few laughs, and there will be tears. There is lust, and if one is lucky, there is 

good sex, too. 

Not to toot my own horn, but I write like a house on fire! My novels have been called intense, provocative, witty, and emotionally-jolting. They read like movies, with words. I have to warn you. They are not PG. They are for people like me, 

and some of you; 

adult, well beyond forty, 

and fabulous. 

You’ll get caught up. 

You’ll  turn pages. You will want to know how the story ends.   

Why do I write? –Because of people like you, readers. Readers inspire me. 

They have opinions, and they aren’t afraid to share them. 

Sometimes I think, “Man, I didn’t even consider that angle.” Guess what? I, too, am a reader. I'm ever on the hunt for good books. I want tales about people of color. I want LGBTQ stories. I want stories that offer hope.

I want to feel things while reading ~and I want the stories 

I read to seem real! 

As a reader, myself, 

I know what readers want. 

You ever stumble on an author that you love? You look for more books by that author. Sadly, you realize they only have that one book. I find that distressing. 

Well, with me, you sometimes get a whole series! As you’re reading, you know there’s more to come. What a delicious feeling! Don’t you love it?   

I write non-fiction, too. My books are available as paperbacks, e-books, and I-books. They can be purchased worldwide on the internet and in different languages. They're on Amazon, Amazon UK, Amazon Italia, etc. Most places, I’m there, so get caught up 

in the webs that I weave. 

Then maybe you’ll start feeling like I do. Drama is best sandwiched between the pages of  good books. This way, when you’ve had enough, you can shut it down. Oh, but with me, you will return because you’ve just got to find out 

what happens!
